Dua lipa is a English artist and performer born on August 22, 1995, from London United Kingdom. Her debut self-titled album debuted in 2017 following her joined Warner Bros Records. The album was ranked at number 3 in the U.K. Charts, and also released 8 singles. They included Be the one I.D.G.A.F, the U.K. No. 1 Single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. #1 single New Rules. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards as a British female solo artist as well as British breakthrough act in 2018. The album was certified platinum throughout the world. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha as well as Dukagjin Lipa. As a result of her maternal grandparent, Dua Lipa is Bosnian. Also, her ancestors come from the Kosovo town of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She is a sister to Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father, who also serves as the lead guitarist and singer for The Kosovan the group Oda. The family home where Lipa grew up, was one in which her father played music by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing around the age of five.
